The annual Not-Back-to-School unschooling picnic in West Des Moines was last week. We showed up very late, didn't meet many adults, but the kids dove in and made some friends. It was awesome, especially for Strata who stumbled onto a "girls' club" where everyone was pretending to be a new butterfly.
